Here's a roundup of all features in PHS84 and a list of credits for the assets I grabbed from everywhere.

Features

  • Full 6vs6 hockey gameplay
  • Gamepad and keyboard input support
  • AI based on pass interception, offensive/defensive positioning and line-of-sight checks when passing or shooting
  • Multiple cameras: Arena (like on TV), Drone (smart, focussed on play area), Action (3rd person puck-holder, still WIP), Classic (like an EA NHL game) or Spectator (first-person ghost mode - exit by double-tapping the Esc key)
  • League teams and players random generation and season stats tracking
  • Rubberbanding - 20% increased stats when losing the game
  • Slow-motion (hold down the mouse button during gameplay)
  • Hockey card view for each player

Player Attributes

Each player has weaknesses and strengths that define how they play:

  • Speed - how fast they move
  • Accuracy - how precise their shots and passes
  • Shot Power - how strong their shots
  • Stick Handling - how likely they can keep the puck, or steal the puck from an opponent
  • Endurance - how long they can stay on the ice before changing
  • Goalie Reflexes - how likely they stop a direct shot
